New Hampshire The Beautiful

litter-free NH

Litter-Free NH is a state-wide litter reduction program that puts control into local hands. Each participating community commits to at least one annual community-wide clean-up, but when, how and who is decided locally.

blue litter bagsLitter-Free NH provides assistance in the form of How-To sheets for writing Public Service Announcements, organizing groups to clean up, and getting free blue litter bags. Groups or communities wishing to perform local clean-up should fill in the application below for free bags. New Hampshire the Beautiful has provided hundreds of thousands of litter bags to Adopt-A-Highway groups and individual communities for litter clean up.

Each year participating communities are eligible to receive 800 daffodil bulbs or 2 6-foot American Liberty Elm saplings. There is no penalty if a community does not meet their intended goal, but there are rewards for those who do. Participation is free.
